Kampala, 2nd April 2025 — In a landmark move poised to redefine financial accessibility in Uganda, SimuSales has today announced a strategic partnership with Pebuu, a global fintech innovator committed to bridging the gap between traditional banking and underserved communities. This collaboration marks a bold step toward empowering Ugandans with financial tools, education, and opportunities—one agent and one account at a time.

Born from a vision to democratize financial services, Pebuu has grown from a disruptive startup into a global leader in agent banking and digital financial solutions. With operations spanning Africa, Asia, and Latin America, Pebuu’s technology-driven platforms have enabled millions of unbanked individuals to access savings, loans, and insurance products—all through localized agent networks. Their mission? To make finance simple, inclusive, and human-centric.

Under this agreement, SimuSales will leverage its nationwide network and grassroots expertise to:

  1. Recruit & Manage Bank Agents: Identifying and training dynamic agents to serve as financial access points in even the most remote communities.

  2. Mobilize Account Openings: Encouraging individuals and small businesses to embrace formal banking, unlocking opportunities for growth and security.

  3. Financial Literacy Drives: Hosting community workshops to teach budgeting, saving, and smart borrowing—because knowledge is the foundation of prosperity.

“Imagine a farmer in Gulu who can now save her earnings securely, or a market vendor in Mbale accessing his first loan to grow his business,” said Simusales Managing Director. “That’s the future we’re building with Pebuu.”

In Uganda, where only 43% of adults have access to formal financial services (World Bank, 2023), this partnership is a catalyst for change. By combining SimuSales’ on-the-ground reach with Pebuu’s cutting-edge technology, the two companies aim to:

  • Reduce reliance on cash economies.

  • Foster entrepreneurship.

  • Protect savings with secure, digital options.

“We’re not just signing a contract—we’re igniting a movement,” shared Pebuu Representative. “Simusales understands the pulse of Ugandan communities, and together, we’ll turn barriers into bridges.”

At SimuSales, the enthusiasm is palpable. “This isn’t just business; it’s purpose,” the team affirmed. “We’re thrilled to walk this path with Pebuu and look forward to a partnership that outlives us all.”
